ZARANJ (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) on Sunday said quarantined votes of 18 polling centers and 17 poll stations of southwestern Nimroz province.
Provincial IECC chief Dr Abdul Raziq Saifi told Pajhwok Afghan News 42 complaints in line with April 5 elections had been recorded, with 28 among them those cases stood in A category.

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Some provincial council candidates on Thursday said 20 polling stations were under high security threat in southwestern Nimroz province.
One candidate Ahmad Omid told Pajhwok Afghan News two polling sites in Firozi and Gach Star areas and some other in Dilaram and Khashrod districts were under high security threat.
A little more than a week to go before the elections, the polling stations were remained shut, he said, expressing concern that many people might be deprived of their right to vote.

ZARANJ (PAN): The residents of volatile Nimroz complained fast-spreading joblessness, lack of potable and irrigation water, insecurity and narcotics smuggling were among the problems that needed to be addressed immediately.
The locals said the government should allocate budget for gravelling of roads, which were in dilapidated condition.
Nimroz is located to the southwest of the country, sharing border with Iran and Pakistan.
Including the provincial capital Zaranj, the province has six administrative units.

ZARANJ (PAN): People in the capital of Nimroz said potable water was their main problem while some of the residents of the remote localities were of the opinion that draught was a serious problem of the province.
Located to the southwest of the country, Nimroz province shares borders with Iran and Pakistan. The province faces water shortage. People said the underground water elsewhere in Nimroz was saline, posing a serious problem for the population.
