KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Local officials on Tuesday alleged the Taliban helped some Pakistani generals in coffins and burqas (veils) to flee Kunduz City after it was reclaimed by the security forces.
Police spokesman Sayed Sarwar Hussaini told Pajhwok Afghan News security and intelligence organs had found that the militants, after being surrounded, whisked away some Pakistani generals in coffins.

KUDNUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Afghan security forces cleared the Bala Hisar fortress and the National Directorate of Security (NDS) office in Kunduz City of Taliban, officials said on Sunday.
Afghan commandos, who recaptured the two important locations during an operation launched at 2am, were advancing in accordance with their plan, the spokesman for the 1st Brigade of Afghan National Army (ANA) commandos in the northern zone, Javed Salimi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): Some 2,000 more families in northern Kunduz province have been displaced due to fear of conflict, living in dire conditions.
The families have been displaced over the past week from Qara-i-Qachi, Kobayee, Kunum, Hazrat Sultan, Khwaja Ghaltan and other localities.
Mohammad Yusuf Ayubi, provincial council head, said the displaced families lived in relatives’ houses, rented places or in the open, waiting for stability to return to their areas.

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The residents of several areas in northern Kunduz province complained that construction work on some uplift projects had been stopped due to presence of militants and deteriorated law and order.
Mohammad Naib, the resident of Dasht-i-Archi district, said since six months no development projects could be initiated in the district. Some projects had been executed in the area in past.
Two months earlier, Taliban have captured the district and was still under their control.
