29 – Bismillah Afghanmal:
Elected Senator
 
Bismillah Afghanmal, son of Haji Mulladad Momand, he was born in 2nd municipality district of Kandahar city in 1350.  He lives in Kandahar city and represents Kandahar in Meshrano Jirga or the upper house of parliament. He earned 14th class certificate and worked as chief editor of a timely magazine, as head of literature and art section at information and culture department, as head of youth coordination council and Reshtya magazine in Kandahar province. He earlier worked as a secretary of Kandahar provincial council.   

1- Haji Sayed Jan Khakrezwal
 Khakrezwal is the son of Haji Abdul Ghaffar. He is born in 1962 in Khakrezwal district of southern Kandahar province. He is educated upto class10th. He is the head of Kandahar provincial council. Khakrezwal has no political affiliation.

KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): The residents of volatile Kandahar consider growing insecurity, low literacy rate, persistent problem of electricity, and absence of a formal market for their agriculture products as main factors that hampering the progress and development of the area.
In addition to that, lack of health services, violence against women, and inadequate education facilities create mayhem among the residents.

The southern Kandahar Province has 17 districts with another 18 administrative units.
1 – Kandahar City:

The governor of southern Kandahar province, Dr. Toryalai Weesa, a son of Abdul Samad Weesa, was born in 1333 in Kohak village in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province. He completed primary, middle and secondary education at Shalmar, Mashraqi and Ahmad Shah Baba high schools of the Kandahar city.

KANDAHAR (PAN): The residents of southern Kandahar Province vehemently demand of the Afghan government and international community to help stabilize security, build power dams, and help them ensure access to their agriculture products to markets.
The Kandahar residents want the Afghan government and the global fraternity to help remove unemployment, reform education sector, builds roads linking Kandahar to other districts, and improves governance in remote areas.

 1 – Hewad Television:
 
Hewad is the first television channel in southern Kandahar Province, which is established back in 2006. It is owned by Afghan Civil Association. The channel broadcasts various political, social, and entertainment programs from 6: 00 am to 12: 00 am.

2 – Afghan Azada Radio:
 

Although a number of people in Kandahar feel change in their lives in the past five years, they still complain about the security situation and ask the next president to ensure security in the country.
Consisting of 15 official and two unofficial districts, Kandahar has 15 members in its provincial council (four of them are women). It is located around 500 kilometres south of Kabul.
Kandahar is known as the birthplace of the Taliban movement. The people work as  farmers and traders; poppy cultivation and smuggling are also major parts of the economy.
