PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Some residents of northern Baghlan province have urged the provincial Independent Election Commission (IEC) office not to invalidate their votes cast in the Oct 20 Wolesi Jirga elections.
The residents of Khost and Baghlan-i-Markazi districts made the demand during a meeting with Baghlan governor Abdul Hai Nimati and other local authorities on Saturday.

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Residents of two districts of northern Baghlan province on Saturday asked the election commission not to invalidate their votes in the Wolesi Jirga elections.
Hundreds of people coming all the way from Khost and Baghlan-i-Markazi districts to Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, also met with the provincial governor and other officials.
One of the elders, Abdul Hakim Noorzai, said all votes cast in Baghlan province should be counted as valid.

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Some candidates in northern Baghlan province have lost their trust on the provincial Independent Election Commission (IEC) in the votes recount and demanded the process to be conducted in capital Kabul.

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Wolesi Jirga candidates in northern Baghlan province on Saturday warned they would emerge on roads if votes cast without biometric verification were not invalidated.
The hopefuls issued the warning while addressing a joint presser in Pul-i-Khumri city, the provincial capital. Gen. Habib Andrabi, a Wolesi Jirga candidate from Baghlan, said the election process did not go well in the province.

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): A number of Wolesi Jirga candidates on Thursday claimed no voting took place in Tala wa Barfak district of northern Baghan province, but ballot boxes were stuffed in some areas.
