There are 15 provincial council members in northeastern Takhar province of whom three are reelected and 12 new members found their way to the provincial council in the April 5elections.

1- AsmatullahQurbani:
AsmatullahQurbani is the son of KarimullahQurbani, AsmatullahQurbai was born in 1980 in provincial capital, Taluqan. He completed his primary education there and graduated from the provincial teacher training institute in 2007. He also received his BA in social science from Kabul University. Besides study, Qurbani used to be engaged in cultural activities as well. Before making his way to the provincial council, he was head for a youth association, founder and owner of a magazine.

2- AinuddinRustaqi:
AinuddinRustaqi is the son of Nasruddin, AinuddinRustaqi is the resident of Rustaq district. He completed his primary education there and this is the third time he finds his way to the provincial council.

3- ArbabRuhullahRaufi:
ArbabRuhullahRaufi is the son of Abdul Rauf, ArbabRuhullahRaufi was born in 1968 in Farkhar district. He is graduated from Takhar provincial teacher training institute. Before winning the 2014 provincial council elections, he had served as manager of a local radio and head of the public library in Takhar. He also has served as deputy manager for the Agha Khan Bank.

4- Mir Ahmad Qasim:
Mir Ahmad Qasim is the son of Dilawar. He was born in 1953 in Chahaab district. He completed his primary education there and graduated from Afghan Technology Institute in Kabul. He had served in different position with the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development. Before finding his way to the provincial council, he served for eight years in a construction company.

5- Abdul Mahboob:
Abdul Mahboob is the son of AbulWadood, AbdulMahboob was born in 1979 in the provincial capital, Taluqan. He graduated from a high school there. Before finding his way to the provincial council, he was serving as a police officer in Takhar and has no any political affiliation.

6- SayyedSalahuddinBurhani:
SayyedSalahuddinBurhani is the son of Sayyed Burhan, SayyedSalahuddinBurhani was born in 1987 in provincial capital, Taluqan. After completion his primary education there, he graduated from agriculture faculty of the provincial university. Before making his way to the provincial council, he had served as head of a local health clinic and head of a construction company.

Mohammad AzamAfzali is the son of Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad AzamAfzali was born in 1982 in Baharak district. He is graduated from provincial teacher training institute and also received his BA in education from the provincial university. Before making his way to the provincial council, he had served as a teacher for 11 years and local development council head for five years.

WafiullahRahmani is the son of Abdul Rahman. He was born in 1978 in Kolabi area of provincial capital. He has studied up to 12th class in KhwajaGharHigh School. Before running for provincial council election, he was head of the development council.

Haji Juma khan is the son of Haji Amam Murad. He was born in 1964 in Kalafgan district. He studied up to 12th class. Before contesting the provincial council election, he was police chief for Kalafgan district.

Mohammad Hussain Hanif is the son of Abdullah. He was born in 1968 in Kalafgan district. He studied in JamiaIslamia religious school in Pakistan. Earlier, he served as teacher and head of the refugees and repatriation department in Takhar.

LatifaSaeedi is the daughter of AlhajNoorullah, LatifaSaeediwas born in 1985 in Yakhatooth village of Chal district. She completed her12thclass education at BibiMahro High School in TaluqanCity. Earlier, she worked as a teacher, vaccinator and vocational trainer.

Marya Taimori is the Daughter of Taimori Shah, MaryaTaimoriwas born in 1985 in Farkhar district. She completed her 12thclass at Farkhar High School. Currently, she is a student of Takhar University. She made her way as member of provincial council in the second tenure as well.

Sahila Joya is the daughter of Abdul Jabbar. She was born in 1973 in YanqiQala district. Joya studied at Bibi Maryam High School in Kabul and graduated from faculty of geology in 1996. From 2000 to 2005, she worked at different positions in provincial education department. She enjoyed provincial council membership twice and served as assistant head of the council as well.

Haji Mohammad YaqoobNazari is the Son of Wakil Mohammad Nazar, Haji Mohammad YaqoobNazari was born in 1957 in provincial capital, Taluqan. He completed his primary education there and graduated from Imam Abo Hanifa Madrassa in Kabul. Before finding his way to the provincial capital, he served has social affairs department head in Takhar.
