Abdul Latif Ibrahimi:
 
Son of Sher Khan, Abdul Latif Ibrahimi is born in 1957 in Imam Sahib District of northeastern Kunduz province. He completed his primary education at his home district and then graduated from high school in Kunduz city.
 
He received his BA in Sharia Law from Kabul University in 2012. He then served as head of Imam Sahib District from 1989 to 2000.
 
He discharged his duties as governor of Kunduz for two years. Later, he was appointed governor of Samangan and Faryab provinces. From 2007 to 2009, he served as governor of Takhar province.
 
Ibrahimi is also the brother of Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, the Lower House spokesman.
 
Ibrahimi served as advisor to the president in tribal affairs in 2010 and since then, he is the governor of Takhar province.
 
In addition to his native language, he speaks Dari, Pashto and English to some extent. He traveled to Korea, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
 
He is a former Jihadi commander affiliated with the Jamiat-i-Islami Party. He lost his father, brother and a number of other family members in a suicide attack in Imam Sahib District during a Buzkashi match in 2011.
