203- Dr. Zaheer Sadat

Son of Tora Mer, Dr. Zaheer Sadat is born in 1974 in Khinch District, Panjshir Province. Sadat completed his primary education at Khinch District School and his secondary education at Mujahid High School, Peshawar. He received a bachelor degree in Administration and Management in London in 1999, and bachelors and master degrees in Medicine from Kabul University, both in 2007. Sadat was a member of London hospitals’ medical team in the United Kingdom from 1997 to 1998. From 1998 to 2002, Sadat worked with gemstones as a technician. From 2002 to 2006, he acted as head of the Jeehoon Reconstruction Services Organization (JRSO). In 2006, he became the head of the Aria City Hospital in Kabul city, a position he held through 2009, when he became a member of parliament due to another MP’s resignation. He was elected to parliament in 2010. Sadat ran unsuccessfully for parliament in 2005. He came in second in the province, behind Salih Muhammad Registani. When Registani resigned from his seat in 2009, Sadat served the final year of the term in Registani’s place. His mother language is Dari but he speaks English.

Qazi Rahila Salim is born in 1969 in Dara District, Panjshir Province. Salim has a bachelor degree in Law and Political Science from Kabul University in 1988. Salim worked as a master trainer in women’s rights from an Islamic point of view with the Afghan Women’s Network (AWN). Salim has 17 years of working experience with the Afghanistan Supreme Court and in the Attorney General’s Office. Salim was elected to parliament in 2005. She speaks Dari, Pashto, and to some extent English.
