1-      Maidan Shahr:
Maidan Shahr  is the capital city of Maidan Wardak province, which is located 35 kilometer to the west of Kabul.
The city is located on 342, 700 latitude, 684, 800 longitude and 2, 225 meters above see level while it spread over an area of 354 square kilometer.
Maidan Wardak has 59 villages, which have further small villages. The province has its historical recognition with Gumbad Shah whose dynasty connects back to Chughtai.
People of Maidan Shahr associate with the profession of agriculture, livestock, fruits orchards and trade. The economic conditions of its people is comparatively stable.
2-      Sayed Abad:
Sayed Abad, known as the first ranked district of Maidan Wardak province is located 35 kilometer away from the provincial capital with 1, 029 square kilometers area.
The district is situated on 345, 950 latitude, 684, 300 longitude and 2, 400 meters above the sea level.Sayed Abad has 117 villages and small towns. Chak district is located to its north, Kharwar to its south with district of Logar proince and Zana Khan district of Ghazni province, to the east is Baraki Barak district and to the west is Chak and Gaghto district and to its southeast is Khwajah Umari district of Ghazni district.
The vital transit road of Kabul- Kandahar passes through Sayd Abad district, which contributes to the strategic importance of the district.
The residents of Sayd Abad district have great interest to get education. They earn their livelihood from agriculture and livestock. The economy of the pople in the district is not stable.
3-      Ghaghto District:
Ghaghto district is a second ranked district of MaydanWardak province.
It is located 124 kilometer away fromMaydanShahr, the provincial capital.
Chak district is located to its north, KhwajahUmari district of Ghazni province, Khogyani and Rashidan to its south, Saydabad district to its east, while Nawur and Rashidan district are located to its west.
2.5 percent land in Ghaghto district is irrigated while the rest is deserts.
The source of weak economic condition is Agriculture, Orchards livestock.
4-      Chak District:
Chak district is among the second ranked district of MaydanWardak province, it is located 40 kilometer to the north of MaydanShahr.
Chak district lies on 340600 degrees latitude and 683500 degrees of longitude.
The district is located 2200 meters above the see level with the total area of 1177 Square kilometer, it has 193 main villages.
To the north of Chak is district Nirkh and Day Mirdad, to the south is Chaghto and Saydabaddistrict, to the east is Nirkh and Saydabaddistrict while central Behsod and Day Mirdad districts are located to its west.
Logar River get start from mountains in Chak district while Sayab, AngorBagh and Tramad mountains are located in the related areas of this district.
Chak district is famous for its hydropower generation industry which has been developed further in the rehabilitation process.

5-      Nirkh District:
Nirkh district is the second ranked district of MaydanWardak province; it is located 8 kilometer to the west of MaydanShahr.
Nirkh district lies on 342200 degrees latitude and 684800 degrees of longitude.
The district is located 2200 meters above the see level with the total area of 480 Square kilometer, it has 129 main villages and 43 sub-villages.
To the north of Nirkh district is Jalriz district, MaydanShahr and Kabul province, to the south is Logar province, to the east is MaydanShahr and Kabul province, to its west is Saydabad, Chak, and Day Mirdad districts located.
People in Nirkh district are engage in cultivation, orchards, livestock though the economy of its residents is weaker than other districts.
The district is famous for its orchards of apples and natural mines of Chromates.
6-      Jalraiz District:
Jalraiz district, second in ranked inMaydanWardak province, it is located 30 kilometer away from MaydanShahr.
Jalraiz district lies on 683000 degrees of longitude.
The district is located 2375 meters above the see level with the total area of 1139Square kilometer, it has 124 main villages.
To the north is MaydanShahr and Nirkh districts, to the east is MaydanShahr, to the west is Day Mirdad and Bihsud district are located.
It residents are agrarian while the district is rich due to its historical ruins such as Kashak Tapa and MazarPoshta.
7-      Hisa-i-AwalBihsud:
Hisa-i-AwalBihsuddistrict is the second ranked district of MaydanWardak province; it is located 55 kilometer to the west of MaydanShahr.
Nirkh district lies on 242100 degrees latitude and 675400 degrees of longitude.
The district is located 2995 meters above the see level with the total area of 1325 Square kilometer, it has 232 main villages and 151sub-villages.
To the north of Hisa-i-AwalBihsudis ShabarBamyan, to the south is Day Mirdad and Nawurdistrict of Gahzni province, to the east is Day Mirdad, Jalriz and Sarkh-a-Parsa district of Parwan province and to the west is Central Bihsud located.
Helmand River flows through the district, giving more greenery and strength to its agriculture.

Handcraft industry is also popular in the province, people weaves carpets, jackets and special clothes.

8-      Central Bihsud District:
The first ranked district of MaydanWardak province is Central Bihsud.
The district is situated on 343030 degrees latitude and 681500 degrees of longitude.
The district is located 2950 meters above the see level with the total area of 2186 Square kilometer, it has 679 main villages and 192 sub-villages.
To the north of Central BihsudisYakawlang district of Bamyan province, to the south is Nawur district of Ghazin province and Sharistan district of Daykundi province, to the east is Hisa-i-AwalBihsud district and to the west is Panjab and Waras district of Bamyan province located.
Its residents are agrarian while handcraft industry is also an effective source of income here.
People in Central Bihsud weave carpets, blankets jackets and other wearing.
Qokron region is the most historical antiquity of this district, while the most important iron mine of Haji Gak is located in Central Bihsud district.
9-      Day Mirdad-Dad (Jalgi) District:
Day Mirdad (Jalgi) district is the third ranked district of MaydanWardak province; it distance 90 kilometer from the capital MaydanShahr.
Day Mirdad district lies on 341320 degrees latitude and 681830 degrees of longitude.
The district is located 2450 meters above the see level with the total area of 1342Square kilometer, it has 112 villages.
72 kilometer road within the district is in dilapidated conditions while 12 kilometer is constructed.
To the north of Day Mirdad district is Central Bihsud, to the south is Nirkh district, to the east is Hisa-i-AwalBihsud and to its west is Nawur district of Ghazni province located.
Arg Kala, Kafir Kala, Katab Tapa, Bodk Kala, Chato Tapa, and Loy Bodak are the historical sights of this district.
Agriculture and livestock is the main source of its crumbling economy, the district is rich from its natural resource such as Stucco and Chalk; the exploration of these mines can boost the economy of its residents.
