Hawa Alam Nuristani, IEC Head

The daughter of Paidna Mohammad, Hawa Alam Nuristani, who is 56-year-old, belongs to Nangarhar province. She is Pashtun and Afghan national. Currently she lives in Kabul. She holds bachelor’s degree in law and has 11 years of experience.

Nuristani had no political affiliation with any party when she was introduced by the Jabha-i-Nejat Melli party for the commissioners’ race.

 

Syed Esmatullah Mal, IEC deputy head 

The son of Syed Ahmadullah, Syed Esmatullah Mal is 36-year-old. He is a Pasthun by ethnicity and hails from Balkh province.

He completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering and has seven years of work experience.

He has no political affiliation with any party in the past and was referred by the Hezb-i-Ejma Roshangaran Melli Afghanistan.

 

Musafir Quqandi, IEC spokesman

Musafir Quqandi is the son of Mohammad Rahim. He is 36 years old and is from Faryab province and an Uzbek with Afghan nationality.

Quqandi has bachelor’s degree in social sciences and seven years of working experience.

Quqandi had no affiliation with any political party and was introduced for the commissioner election by the Hezb-i-Etedal Melli.

 

Mohammad Hanif Danishyar, IEC commissioner

The son of Zwar Shah, Mohammad Hanif Danishyar, 35, hailis from Ghazni province and has Afghan nationality and is from Hazara ethnic group.

He has bachelor’s degree in philosophy and sociology with six years work experience.

Dnishyar in the past had no affiliation with any political party but he was introduced by the Hezb-i-Ensejam Melli party for the post of a commissioner.

 

Aurangzeb, IEC commissioner

Aurangzeb, the son of Mohammad Hassan, is 39-year-old. He is from Paktika province and is Afghan national from Pashtun ethnic group.  He has completed his bachelor’s degree in agriculture and has 10 year work experience.

Aurangzeb was appointed as the deputy finance and administration head of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) secretariat in 2013 following approval from the president and served there for five years. He has huge achievements during his work.

He has no affiliation with any political party in the past but was referred by the Harakat-i-WahdatMelli for the commissioner post.

 

Mualana Mohammad Abdullah, IEC commissioner

Mualana Mohammad Abdullah, son of Latif-ur-Rahman, is 46 years old and is Tajik and has Afghan nationality and is a resident of central of Panjsher province.

Having no link with any political parties, he was introduced for the commissioner post by civil society activists.

 

Rahima Zarifi, IEC commissioner

Rhima Zarifi, daughter of Mohammad Juma, is 51 years old. She is from the Tajik ethnic group and a resident of northern Balkh province.

She finished her higher education till bachelor’s in management and business and has 20 years work experience.

She had no link with any political party when introduced for the commissioner post by civil society.
