KABUL (Pajhwok): Presidential runner Faramarz Tamanna joined the State-Builder team led by President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday.
The Prudence and Development team, led by Dr. Faramarz Tamanna, and the State-Builder vowed to work for a developed and stable Afghanistan where all citizens had equal rights, freedom and opportunities.
In a statement, the two teams urged all stakeholders to respect the process and electoral rules. Both teams called on the Independent Election Commission (IEC) to announce results of the presidential vote in line the law as soon as possible.
The election was held on September 28. A number of candidates and politicians have called for an interim setup, while others have proposed a coalition government.
But the idea of an interim government has drawn criticism from different quarters. As a result, electoral differences have deepened, sparking fears of a political crisis in the country.
