KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) on Saturday said it has registered 46 complaints so far against presidential candidates.
The presidential election campaign kicked off on July 28 and would continued for two months.
Mohammad Qasim Ilyasi, a commissioner and spokesman for IECC, told Pajhwok Afghan News the complaints were about insulting comments against each other and installation of pictures over each other photos and misuse of authority.
He did not name any election team but said most of the complaints were from five election tickets against each other. He said the complaints would be addressed in near future.
The IECC has served warring letters to certain presidential election candidates in this regard.
Seventeen candidates, including President Ashraf Ghani and his Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, are in the run for September 28 ballot.
