KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): First Deputy Speaker Humayon Humayon has accused a Wolesi Jirgacandidate in southeastern Khost province over distributing fake Tazkeras to refugees from Waziristan Agency.
He said the fake Tazkera were distributed in the Spera and Tani districts of the province.
The deputy speaker did not name the candidate he had accused of distributing fake Takzeras but added he shared the issue with security authorities six months back but no action was taken to stop the distribution of fake Tazkeras.
“Election-related stickers have been attacked on these Tazkeras and used in the recent elections, videos are available on social media in which the Tazkera holders acknowledged they are Waziristan refugees who had been distributed these Tazkeras by a candidate,” he said.
Governor Spokesman Talib Mangal said: “The issue has nothing to do with the provincial government because the distribution of Tazkeras was the responsibility of Population Registration Department and we have asked the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission to investigate the issue,”
Noor Walli Khan, head of the provincial Population Registration Department said, he was unaware of the distribution of fake Tazkeras and added he was on leave during the distribution of Tazkera and the sticker process was headed by Afzal Khann Fitrat.
