د ننګرهار والي په دغه ولايت کې د ملېشه جوړونې اوازې رد کړې

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Nangarhar Governor Salim Khan Kunduzi on Wednesday rejected reports that some lawmakers were trying to establish tribal militias in the eastern province.
“After being defeated, the enemies are trying to circulate rumours that Jalalabad will fall into the hands of insurgents and tribal militias are being raised to prevent it,” Kunduzi told a gathering participated by security officials and public representatives here.
He said there were no activities to create militias because the provincial government and lawmakers had full coordination in their activities to support the system.
“We are ready to fight against Daesh and we ask the government to equip security personnel to effectively fight against the enemies,” the deputy speaker of Wolesi Jirga, Hajji Abdul Zahir Qadir, said.
“There are rumours that the city may fall to Taliban, but the enemies have no power to capture the city. We are chasing them into mountains to defeat them there,” the powerful lawmaker said.
Police chief Maj. Gen. Fazal Ahmad Sherzad said they had launched operations in Achin and other districts against Daesh and the group had sustained heavy casualties and had no ability to attack the city.
