ولسوالى قلعۀ زال در خطر سقوط قرار دارد

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Officials on Thursday said that parts of Qalazal district of northeastern Kunduz province have fallen to militants but rebels suffered heavy casualties during the firefight.
The district chief Mahbob Ullah Sayedi told Pajhwok Afghan News hundreds of militants from Chahardara district and Gortapa area launched attacks on Qalazal district.
He said that the fight was continue from the past three days as some parts of the district were fallen to militants.
Sayedi added that 25 militants and two Afghan Local Police (ALP) were killed and 15 rebels wounded during the clashes.
The district center and police headquarters were currently under security forces’ control, but may fall to militants if the central government failed to send reinforcement, he warned.
 Taliban claimed capturing four security posts in Zulmabad and Tarbooz Guzar areas of Qalazal and the district center was surrounded by militants.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed killing six security forces and wounding nine others including an ALP commander Nabi Gigchi.
On the other hand, Kunduz provincial council head Mohammad Yousuf Ayubi said that Qalazal district was fallen to Taliban on Wednesday night.
“We have earlier expressed concerns about shortage of security forces in Qalazal,” he said.
As a result of heavy fights in the district, hundreds of families have been displaced.
A resident of Durman village, Painda Mohammad, said: “Me, my family, my brother’s family and my uncle’s family are shifting to Kunduz city.”
He said the fight between militants and the government had created serious problems for people.
