نمايندگان مردم کندز سقوط دو ولسوالى را تهديد جدى به شهر کندز مى دانند

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Secretary of Mesharano Jirga and some provincial council members on Monday warned Taliban were marching ahead to capture Kunduz City, the provincial capital of northern Kunduz province.
In the past 24 hours, Taliban succeeded to capture Dasht-i-Archi and Chahardara districts.
Some lawmakers from Kunduz said despite collapse of two important districts, more areas of the province were under looming threat from the enemy.
Maulvi Abdullah Qarelaq, secretary of the Meshrano Jirga, said lack of coordination among security institutions led to fall of Chardara and Dash-i-Archi districts.
He said the district chief of Dasht-i-Archi had strong links with militants and handed over the district to Taliban against some privileges.
Provincial Council Member Ghulam Rabbani Rabbani said people were extremely worried about security situations after the collapse of two districts. The next target of the militants would be the provincial capital, he added.
He said Taliban were three kilometres away from Kunduz City and the sound of firing could be heard in parts of city.
Amruddin Wali, deputy head of the provincial council, criticized the leadership of security forces and said if better command was not provided to armed forces the fighting would reach to the provincial capital.
