"بهرني استخبارات د نورستان يوې قومي شخړې ته لمن وهي"

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Acting governor of eastern Nuristan province alleged that foreign hands were fuelling tribal feud in the province for their vested interests.
Hafiz Abdul Qayyum said enmity between two tribes of Kamdish and Kushtooz villages erupted 16 years ago in Kamdish district, which left 400 persons dead and 150 wounded.
Hundreds of families migrated to other areas because of clashes between the two warring tribes, he added.
He however, did not identify which country intelligence was involved but asked the government to send a delegation to resolve the dispute.
“I discussed the issue with the president through video conference and asked him to dispatch a delegation to restore resolve the issue,” he added.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Baqi Nuristani, provincial police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News that “we held several mediation rounds between the tribes but those did not yield any results.
Maulvi Umar Farooq, a provincial council member, urged the government to send a high-powered delegation to settle the issue without further delay.
