KABUL (Pajhwok): The Council of Presidential Candidates (CPC) on Thursday said they would soon announce an alternative strategy in the wake of election crisis and warned to disqualify election commissioners involved in electoral fraud.
In a statement issued during a press conference here, condemned the recount and change to the figures of votes as a clear violation of all Independent Election Commission (IEC)’s procedures and rules.

FAIZABAD/SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah’s team members on Monday stopped the vote recount and audit process in northern Jawjzan and northeastern Badakhshan provinces.

Currently all IEC staff were inside the warehouse, he added.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Presidential candidate Rahmatullah Nabil on Monday said the Independent Election Commission (IEC) was yet to address their demands and termed the vote recount and audit against the electoral law and procedure.
On November 9, the electoral panel started the audit and recount of votes from 8,255 of the 26,580 polling stations to sift fraudulent ballots from valid ones.

He said ballots from some of the polling stations were audited yesterday and Wednesday morning before the Stability and Partnership team observers shut the gate the provincial election commission.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Council of Presidential Candidates on Tuesday asked the Independent Election Commission (IEC) to consider transparency instead of speed in its work in order the September 28 presidential election avoided a repeat of 2014 crisis.
Rahmatullah Nabil, Ahmad Wali Massoud and Shahab Hakimi, members of the council, addressed a joint press conference here.
