KABUL (Pajhwok): The Stability and Partnership election team on Friday staged a protest rally asking the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and other related institutions to meet legal demands.
A resolution passed at the end of a rally staged in capital Kabul, said that as a result of continued fraud and rigging in the public vote and their determination, the process of election reached its sensitive stage.
The Stability and Partnership team led by Abdullah Abdullah warned they would act against fraud and rigging if the IEC failed to address their demands.
The resolution said that on September 28, people went to the polling stations besides threats to their lives, but traitors and anti-democratic forces again strive to commit fraud, rigging and erect a government on the bases of fraud votes.
The six-point resolution of the Stability and Partnership team says

  1. The people of Afghanistan will not allow a government based on fraud that will lead to closing the chapter of democracy in this land for ever. The fraudulent election team, IEC and the international community should not ignore the righteous voices of the people. We assure the people of Afghanistan to defend our right at our capacity and would not become party to a system based on fraud and rigging.
  2. The IEC should refer to it rules and regulation and besides assurances and listening to a particular team it should hear the voices of the people. The IEC should exclude 300,000 s fraud and black votes and ensure it independence and neutrality otherwise the responsibility of the election crisis would be on should of the members of IEC
  3. Security forces are our sons, brothers and sisters. We hope their cooperation in the implementation of justice. The victory of justice over evil ensures the bright future for our sons. Security forces should ensure their neutrality, commitment and love for the country and ensure the security of protestors.
  4. If the IEC and concerned institutions failed to respond to the legal demands of Stability and Partnership team, we will use all legal, peaceful means to ensure the winner of election is people and their determination
  5. Understanding current crisis and anomalies, the international community should strive to return the electoral process to a legal and principled path. International partners should not allow Afghanistan to go back to the dark past where there was no democracy. The 2019 presidential elections is a line between democracy and dictatorship.
  6. We support and support the conscious and courageous presence of people in different provinces in front of the gates of the IEC and the prevention of the illegal recount process until the fate of fake and suspicious votes is determined.
