KABUL (Pajhwok): Deserting presidential candidate Mohammad Atmar’s electoral team, Mohammad Mohaqiq joined the Stability and Convergence team led by Abdullah Abdullah on Thursday, a well-placed source said.
An official of the Stability and Convergence team, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mohaqiq joined Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah’s electoral team today (Thursday).
Mohaqiq, head of Wahdat-i-Islami political party and former deputy running mate of Hanif Atmar, who leads Peace and Moderation team.
The source added technical teams of the Stability and Convergence and Wahdat-i-Islami political party signed an agreement on joining forces.
