MAIDAN CITY (Pajhwok): Provincial Council (PC) members in central Maidan Wardak province on Thursday discussed at length administrative, judicial and other provincial issues with the governor who pledged to extend all cooperation to resolve problem of the people.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Governor Hayatullah Hayat and other local officials attended the meeting held at the governor house.
PC head Ahmad Jaffari told the meeting that several issues were there at central and district levels which needed immediate solution. 
Most of the schools, he said had no buildings while some needed reconstruction. In addition, he said that children of dozens of schools were in dire need of textbooks.
PC members also pointed out lack of electricity facilities amid complaints against government officials to the governor. Scores of guards who had to serve in districts and different areas were discharging their duties with high officials instead, the governor was told.
Jaffari also briefed the governor on deteriorating security situation throughout the province and urged him to improve law and order.
The governor assured PC members that he would use all the available resources address all issues. He mentioned that President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani had given him deadlines to resolve civil, administrative and judicial issues in three months.
