MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A lawmaker on Thursday escaped unhurt in a roadside bombing that killed his one guard and injured three others in central Kapisa province, an official said.
Kuchi tribe representative in the Wolesi Jirga or lower house of parliament, Habib Afghan, was travelling in Kor Taz, a mountainous locality east of Mahmood Raqi, the provincial capital, when came under attack in the afternoon, the governor’s spokesman said.
Qais Qadir said the lawmaker was travelling home from Kabul through Kapisa when the blast ripped through his motorcade in the area, killing one of his guards and injuring three others.
The blast hit a vehicle travelling behind Afghan’s car in the convoy, he said.
Public Health Director Mirza Reja said three wounded persons had been brought to the civil hospital and they were in stable condition.
