Abdullah to build hydropower dams in Kapisa

 
CHARIKAR, KUNDUZ, MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Frontrunner Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on Saturday pledged he would construct two big hydropower dams in central Kapisa and Panjsher provinces if he won the June 14 runoff ballot.
Abdullah held out the promise during a speech to hundreds of his supporters in Kapisa province in the morning.
Lawmakers, religious scholars, provincial council members and his team members attended the gathering, where the former foreign minister expressed optimism he would win the ballot.
He added joining of his “Reform and Unanimity” team by some political figures strengthened his hope for the victroy.
While calling June 14 as victory day for Afghans, he pledged to serve the nation and pay greater attention to neglected parts of Kapisa province. 
Meanwhile, more than 200 youth from Kunduz, Baghlan, Takhar and Badakhshan provinces announced support to Abdullah. They called Abdullah a suitable person for the presidency. 
Dozens of people announced support to Abdullah in the Qarghayee district of eastern Laghman province. An organizer Mir Hatim Tarakhel said they supported Abdullah in larger interest of the country and the nation.
