Ahmadzai garners more support

HERAT CITY, TARINKOT, JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Thousands of people have held separate gatherings in western Herat, eastern Nangarhar and central Uruzgan provinces in support of presidential runner Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, his campaign office said in a statement.
Addressing a large number of people, Ahmadzai, said he would work out a strategy to bolster the nascent economy of the country by reducing trade deficit.
Businessmen, he promised would be offered more facilities and the cultural heritage of Herat City would be protected if he won the ballot.
Hundreds of Shiites community people led by Sayyed Hussain announced to support Ahmadzai during the runoff ballot. 
In a separate meeting, hundreds of Tarinkot City residents, the provincial capital and nearby districts, announced to back the former finance minister.
Haji Rahimullah, a tribal elder, while speaking on the occasion said Ahmadzai had multidimensional programs and plans to develop the country and the ability to pull the country out of crisis.
In Nangarhar, a poetry program was held aimed at garnering more support for Ahmadzai, the organizers said.
